Asian American Writers' Workshop
Established in 1991, AAWW is dedicated to the creation, development, publication and dissemination of Asian American literature. The Workshop publishes The Asian Pacific American Journal, the literary magazine Ten and various anthologies on underrepresented Asian American experiences. AAWW sponsors readings, book parties and panel discussions, offers creative writing workshops, and presents The Annual Asian American Literary Awards Ceremony to recognize outstanding literary works by Americans of Asian descent. AAWW also offers youth arts programs and special initiatives for underserved teenagers and young adults. In a 6,000 square-foot loft space, AAWW operates the largest and most comprehensive bookstore of Asian American books and magazines in the country.
